Office Administrative Assistant

Grade A Auto Parts of Louisville, KY is immediately hiring for this position of Office Administrative Assistant.
Job Responsibilities include:
Assisting customers in person and incoming calls
Issuing purchase orders
Assisting employees with company uniforms and working with the vendor on change needs
Creating monthly employee newsletter
Coordination of deliveries from vendors and other company location couriers
Documentation of equipment maintenance needs & mileage logs
Daily attendance roster for sales & administrative office staff
Coordination on 2-way radio needs for employees, communications with vendor
Processing payments for COD product deliveries
Assisting with Accounts Receivable payment processing
Assisting with cash receipt needs for cashiers and couriers
Periodic filing, alphabetical sorting and paper filing
Printing and laminating items as needed by Management
Intercompany communications for social media reviews
Human Resource duties including onboarding, open enrollment, benefits, safety, engagement
- Administers health and welfare plans, including enrollments, changes and terminations. Processes required documents through payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate recordkeeping and proper deductions.
- Completes Forms I-9, verifies I-9 documentation and maintains I-9 files.
- New hire requests processed
- New employee background checks
- Reconciles benefits statements
- Conducts audits of payroll, benefits or other HR programs and recommends corrective action
- Assists with processing of resignations and terminations
- Assists with the preparation of the performance review process
- Assists with recruitment and interview process. Tracks status of candidates in and responds with follow-up letters at the end of the recruiting process
- Schedules meetings and interviews as requested
- Makes photocopies; mails, scans and emails documents; and performs other clerical functions
- Files documents in appropriate employee files
- Assists with works compensation and OSHA requirements
- Prepares new-employee files
- Processes incoming & outgoing mail
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Cross training as backup for other administrative staff members as needed.

Good communication skills
Must be able to read and write
Must have strong computer skills (ability to learn software)
Prior Human Resource experience a plus
Construction or blue collar experience a plus
Bilingual is a plus
